Project 365 - Easter Vigil

Our beautiful daughters served as Altar Servers at the Easter Vigil Mass today. The mass is the most beautiful of the whole year, and this year it lasted 3 hours and 45 minutes. :)

Project 365 - Courage Award

Both of our daughters serve as Altar Servers at our church. We had our Altar Server annual banquet tonight, and my older daughter earned the "Courage" award. She has been an altar server for almost 8 years, and our younger daughter has been one for 6 years. I am SO proud of both of them for serving Jesus with such love and devotion.

Project 365 - Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence

Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence: The Secret of Peace and Happiness: Father Jean Baptiste Saint-Jure, Saint Claude de la Colombiere.

My spiritual guide recommended this book to me a couple of years ago, and I am so glad she did. It is one of the best spiritual books I have read, and I have practially worn out my first copy, so I purchased a second one. (I got them both on eBay, but you can also purchase them from TAN Books).

Here is an excerpt:

"To remain indifferent to good fortune or to adversity by accepting it all from the hand of God without questioning, not to ask for things to be done as we would like them but as God wishes, to make the intention of all our prayers that God's will should be perfectly accomplished in ourselves and in all creatures is to find the secret of happiness and content." Project 365 - Taize Prayer

Our church has a Taize prayer service every month or so. It's so beautiful because of the beautiful music and the candle light. If you ever get a chance to attend a Taize prayer service, I strongly recommend it.

This statue of St. Francis stands outside our Catholic church. I love the fish by his feet. There are many stories about St. Francis regarding animals and fish.

My friend, Cindy, gave me this cross that she got from Artistic Crosses. The family that creates these crosses has an amazing story, and I strongly recommend reading it!

Project 365 - Ladder Rosary

The crucifix on this ladder rosary really reminds me a lot of the crucifix from church last night.

It's called a ladder rosary because the beads are strung between 2 chains so that they look like steps on a ladder. This particular type of rosary is very comfortable, almost silky, to hold.

Each month I receive the Magnificat liturgical prayer book in the mail. I was so pleased to see that the February issue shows a bunny pictured to the right of Jesus. ;)

Project 365 - Rosaries

For the last several years, I have made mission rosaries to give to anyone who wants/needs one. These are some that I am making for a Legionary priest in the Army in Louisiana. I usually make rosaries on Sunday afternoons.
