I also finished another Blissful Moss last week. This pattern is so easy to memorize. I tried it with a variegated yarn and did not like it much. However, I love it with the stripes.

First Sock - Progress Report

As you can see, I finished the heel of my first sock. I am so in love with the colors in this self-striping yarn. I am using the book "Sensational Knitted Socks" by Charlene Schurch. The yarn is Schachenmayr Nomotta Regia Silk Color in colorway 190. If you are a member of Ravelry.com, there is more information about the project there. My username on Ravelry is bunnystamping.

Blissful Moss Rib Dishcloth

This pattern has now become my second favorite, right after the infamous DW dishcloth. It's called the Blissful Moss Rib Dishcloth. I absolutely LOVE how this cloth feels in my hands. The pattern was very easy to memorize, too, so I will be making many more.

This was my first time using Bernat yarn and I must say that I love it. This colorway is called Violet Stripes.

Another DW Cloth!

I was visiting a friend recently, and while I was at her house I knit another DW cloth for her. I really love this yarn. The colorway is called Midnight Magic and it is by Sugar 'n Cream. I think I need to purchase more of this colorway for myself. ;)

February 1 KAL - Valentine Candy Box

This one had me fooled until about row 40, and then I finally figured out it was a picture of a box of chocolates. How clever!

I used size 7 bamboo needles. I think for the picture cloths I need to use smaller needles from now on so the pictures show up better.

ChemoAngels Patient is Graduating

My ChemoAngels patient has finished her chemotherapy and is graduating from the program. I am so happy for her! I am sending her a "graduation" present of a cute pink dishcloth and a composition book that I turned into a journal. I hope she likes them and that she lives a long and healthy life!

January Exchange Received

I received this awesome dishcloth in the January exchange. I absolutely love lime green, and I also love the fact that the year is on this cloth. What a clever idea!

24 Dishcloth Challenge for 2008

I belong to an awesome online knitting group called Monthly Dishcloths. We have two KALs (knit-a-longs) each month. We are starting a challenge to do all 24 dishcloths this year. I just finished the first one, which just happened to be my now *infamous* football dishcloth. I did this one in orange for a swap I am in for another group.

Lovely as a Tree Christmas

This beautiful card was made by my friend Suezette. It looks so much prettier in real life because she used glitter on the trees. Thanks, Suezette! ;)

Simply Circles Birthday

I belong to an online community of rubber stampers at Split Coast Stampers. They post a lot of stamping challenges, which I like because it helps my creativity.

I recently combined two challenges to make this card:


The first challenge is called Featured Stamper. It involves looking at another member's gallery and choosing a card to copy. I chose FS42 (TexasGranny) and loved the use of circles on this card. I then chose a color challenge (CC143) to decide the colors I would use for the paper and ink. The colors are Summer Sun, Certainly Celery, and Old Olive. I love how it turned out!

My online friend, Monkey, sent me a goody box this week with some yarn, needles, a knitting book, and a couple of cute dishcloths. Thanks, Monkey, you are such a sweetie!

DW Cloth in Sagebrush

This awesome DW dishcloth was created with Lion Brand cotton yarn in a colorway called Sagebrush. I just love how these colors work together in this cloth. ;)

I was in a dish cloth exchange in December. I sent my partner one with her initial on it. :)


I took a picture with my camera of the one she sent me, and I will have to upload that here soon.

I am currently knitting some dish cloths to give to my brother-in-law and his bride when they get married in April. I will upload pictures of them soon.

The yarn looks better in real life - it has a shimmer to it and also has beads sewn into it.

Jesus is the REASON for the Season

Luke 1:26-56

In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin's name was Mary. And coming to her, he said, "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you." But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.

Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end."

But Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?"

And the angel said to her in reply, "The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God."

Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Then the angel departed from her.

During those days Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."

And Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him. He has shown might with his arm, dispersed the arrogant of mind and heart. He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones but lifted up the lowly. The hungry he has filled with good things; the rich he has sent away empty. He has helped Israel his servant, remembering his mercy, according to his promise to our fathers, to Abraham and to his descendants forever."

Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home.

Grandma's Favorite in Playtime

Another pattern that I am in love with right now .... I made this one 50 stitches across this time and it seems to be the perfect number. The others I had made seemed a little small to me.

Polka Dots and Paisley

I belong to an awesome online rubber stamping community called Splitcoast Stampers. If you are a stamper and/or scrapper, you should definitely check out this site.

They have weekly color challenges and layout challenges. For this card, I combined both types of challenges into one card (SC137 and CC125). The colors I used were Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, and Certainly Celery by Stampin' Up! I just love these colors together!

I made this card to send to my Chemo Angel patient.
